Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all competitions, promotions and special offers run by Penton Publications and our individual magazine titles including Wedding Journal and weddingjournalonline

1. Promotions, competitions and offers run by Penton Publications are open to residents of Ireland and the UK only.

2. Strictly one entry per person.

3. Entries are free of charge.

4. Prize is as stated and is not transferable. No negotiations will be entered into and no alternatives will be offered.

5. Penton Publications reserves the right to substitute the prize for another prize of equal value.

6. Except where otherwise stated the competition/offer is open to all UK & Ireland residents, excluding employees of Penton Publications and their relatives and anyone involved in the sponsorship and administration of the competition.

7. Penton Publications has no responsibility for and is not liable for the acts or defaults of the competition/prize sponsors. Entry into the competition implies acceptance of these rules.

8. Winners may be requested to take part in promotional activity and Penton Publications reserves the right to use the names and addresses of winners, their photographs and audio and/or visual recordings of them in any publicity. By entering the competition the winner agrees to take part in any publicity relating to the competition.

9. Penton Publications reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition or the rules without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside Penton Publications' reasonable control.

10. By entering the Competition, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete. Penton Publications reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants.

11. The decision of the judges shall be final and unchallengeable and, in their absolute discretion, they may declare void any entry, or the competition itself, should they consider that there are no entries reaching a required standard, whereupon they can award prizes or not, as they think fit. The judges may also decide, in their absolute discretion, to change the rules of a competition while it is running if it appears to them that it would be equitable or desirable to do so. No correspondence will be entered into.

12. Claims for prizes must be made in the manner and within the time specified. Failure to claim a prize within this time or in the manner specified may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.

13. It is assumed that by entering the competition, the winner(s) agrees to taking any required time off work at their own expense. By entering any date-related competition, Penton Publications or the third party sponsor(s) are not liable in any way to any winner who cannot attend and no cash alternative or equivalent prize will be given.

14. All taxes, insurances, transfers, spending money and other expenses (including meals or personal expenses upgrades etc.) as the case may be, unless specifically stated, are the sole responsibility of the prizewinner.

15. Penton Publications reserves the right to disqualify any contestant for any reason whatsoever in its sole discretion.

16. Penton Publication reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who fails to disclose information which is deemed to be potential damaging to the competition, Ireland's Wedding Journal or any of the competition's sponsors.

17. Winners will be notified by email or telephone and have three working days in which to respond or another winner will be drawn.

18. Arrangement for the fulfilment of the prizes/offers and competitions run by Penton Publications will be made by the third party sponsor/company. Penton/they reserve the right in our/their absolute and sole discretion to substitute any and all prizes/offers with prizes/offers of a comparable value, but Penton Publications is under no obligation to do so.

19. Penton Publications is not to be held liable for any late delivery, loss or damage to, or any problems with any of the prizes/offers provided by a third party sponsor/company, including any failure by them to provide the prize/offer.

Any copying or distribution of any of the Penton Group website material for commercial or business purposes without the written prior consent of Penton Group is strictly prohibited.
