The 7Up GO Belfast Awards took the city by storm on Friday 13 November 2009, delivering a show-stopping, action packed night full of thrills and spills. To coin the catchphrase of our host Justin Lee Collins, ‘GOOD TIMES’ were had in spades…
As throngs of photographers gathered on the red carpet and crowds of people gathered outside Belfast’s iconic hotel, the tone was set for the return of the 7Up GO Belfast Awards. All out glitz and glamour descended on the venue as stars from the world of sport, media, film and TV arrived for the event that has firmly established itself as Belfast’s Biggest Bash.
Gongs host Justin Lee Collins proved a massive hit with the Belfast crowds with his hilarious on stage antics, as did the sensational Laura White, whose stunning performance of her new single, You Should Have Known left the audience speechless.
And let’s not forget the overall point of the evening – the Awards! Over 22,000 public votes were cast for the 7Up GO Belfast Awards 2009. An absolutely phenomenal total, thank you to all of the GO Belfast readers that took the time to vote for their favourite people and places across the city. In true X-Factor style all of the winners were decided entirely by public vote.
